Mission statement
Grand River Hospital’s laboratory services exist as an integral part of the health care team to provide the highest standards of care at Grand River Hospital, and to provide a quality laboratory service to our patients, physicians, nurses and allied health groups.
We are committed to providing laboratory services in a professional, courteous, supportive and friendly manner.
We maintain our high standards by our participation in internal and external proficiency programs, and by complying with our accreditation requirements and professional licensing bodies.
We provide a safe workplace for our staff, and promote continuing education and professional development.
Accreditation
Grand River Hospital’s laboratory services have received a five year Ontario Laboratory Accreditation (OLA) Certificate. OLA is a peer group accreditation of over 500 accreditation requirements based on ISO 15189 standards. This accreditation process supplements lab licensing and is mandatory for all medical laboratories in Ontario. |
