We offer many services to support expectant families.

The prebirth service
Through prebirth services, parents can pre-register for the birth of their baby, find out information about staying in hospital and learn about available community supports.  For more information about our prebirth services, please click here.

The breastfeeding basics class
These classes offer information on breastfeeding for expectant families. To read more about this service, please click here.

The nurse practitioner clinic
The childbirth nurse practitioner supports pregnant women who do not have a family doctor. Click here for more information.

Prenatal classes (Conestoga College)

We also offer some additional supports:
  • If you have any medical conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure or mental health concerns, or you are taking any medications that may complicate your pregnancy, please contact the childbirth program’s clinical nurse specialist at 519-749-4300, ext. 2351.
  • If you have any social concerns that make it difficult for you to care for yourself or your family, please contact the childbirth program’s social worker at 519-749-4300, ext. 2267.
  • If you have any nutrition concerns regarding a special diet, vegetarian eating or weight gain during pregnancy, our clinical dietitian can be reached at 519-749-4300, ext. 2207.
