| Specialized Mental Health: Freeport Site |
Grand River Hospital’s mental health and addictions program has opened a specialized adult (19 years and older) mental health program to serve individuals living with severe disability, complex diagnoses and/or severe and persistent mental illness.
This new program is located at GRH’s Freeport Site, at 3570 King Street East in Kitchener
Services offered in the program include the following:
- Inpatient beds – a total of 50 beds, which will include 32 beds for those with persistent mental illness, 11 seniors mental health beds (Grand River Terrace 2) and a seven bed transition unit (Grand River Terrace 3); and
- Outpatient services (pastoral house) including an assertive community treatment team, specialized outreach teams and a day hospital.
