All members of our health care team are experts in the care of people with diabetes. They have specialized education and are certified as diabetes educators through the Canadian Diabetes Educator Certification Board.
Here are some of the people you may meet:
Registered nurses: registered nurses provide basic and specialized diabetes related information and education. They mentor clients and their families living with diabetes.
Clinical dietitians: registered dietitians assess your nutritional status and provide education about your diet as it relates to your diabetes care.
Clinic secretary: the clinic secretary books appointments and ensures your questions or concerns are referred to the appropriate health care professional.
