Radiation therapy in progress

Here are some of the projects that are either underway at GRH's campuses.

Addition of a second CT Simulator – KW Campus

To facilitate maximum use of the existing radiation treatment resources, an additional CT simulator is required. Currently, Grand River Hospital's regional cancer centre only has one CT simulator and this puts treatment in a vulnerable position with respect to machine breakdowns. Construction for and the installation of the second CT simulator are now taking place.

Addition of fifth radiation treatment machine – KW Campus

The Grand River Hospital's regional cancer centre currently operates four radiation treatment units. To meet the expected demand for service, the centre requires an additional treatment unit taking the centre’s treatment machine numbers to five units. Construction for and the installation of the new treatment unit are now underway.
