As part of responding to the application of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act to the health sector, Grand River Hospital is proactively releasing information on executive compensation so that it is available to interested members of the public. The contract for the president and chief executive officer and the compensation plan for executive staff are posted below.

Grand River Hospital assesses performance through a framework of quality indicators addressing accessibility of, appropriateness of, safety within and patients' experiences with their care. In addition, the hospital operates within financial performance measures set out in accountability agreements with the Waterloo Wellington Local Health Integration Network, Cancer Care Ontario and other funding agencies. Management performance is evaluated against goals in each of these areas.
