4,100 babies are born at GRH every year. So the renovated pharmacy includes a much larger baby care section.

Here are some of the projects that are either underway or completed at GRH's campuses.

Retail pharmacy initiatives - KW and Freeport campuses

GRH renovated the retail pharmacy in the main lobby of the KW Campus in 2017 and 2018. Recent renovations added a satellite pharmacy in GRH's cancer centre to better serve the needs of patients. The hospital is considering adding services at the Freeport Campus.

Health Infrastructure Renewal Fund (HIRF)

Hospitals are responsible for planning infrastructure renewal activities to ensure that their facilities are in a good state of repair. Recognizing the need for the renewal of health care infrastructure, the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care (MOHLTC) created the HIRF program. This program is intended to supplement a hospital’s existing renewal program and to help address renewal needs on a priority basis. Annually the MOHLTC determines the HIRF allocation and eligible projects for all public hospitals in Ontario. Here are some projects that have taken place at GRH...
