Transcript for: CCCARE exercise programs go virtual - here's what our members have to say!
Juliette: I have actually love, love, loved the class so far. Val: I truly wouldn't be exercising like I'm doing, like actually breaking a sweat in my living room. Pat: This I find just as good, except you can’t go for a coffee with the group afterwards. Anita: The biggest thing about having a real person instructing you is the encouragement they give you and the support they give you.
Juliette: He always corrects if there is anything, which I didn't think that would be the case so that's been really helpful.
Anita: I just indicated to Jon that my back was hurting and he immediately said do this, do that, do the next thing and that led me to not hurt my back and also to continue on with the class. So I would not have had that feedback by watching a video. Juliette: If it is in my calendar and I know that Jon and everyone else is there as well, it just means I'm going to do it and I haven't missed one yet.
Dave: So I like the remote aspect of being able to just say, it is in my calendar I'm going to do it today for the live session. The one on your own is little harder, but it certainly was really good for that. Val: I like seeing the other participants and it gives us a feeling of continuity from before. Juliette: I like that I see people at the beginning and at the end of the class that I used to do the in-person class with. Obviously in person is ideal, but you know in this climate we can't so I think this is the next best thing.
Anita: The other thing I find very helpful for me is seeing my colleagues that I had in the class. At this time when you're not socially interacting it's great to have the feedback of, oh there they are, they are still there with you they are still encouraging you.
