The Waterloo Wellington Regional Cancer Program (WWRCP) is a network made up of healthcare professionals and hospitals that provide cancer care across Waterloo Region, Wellington County and the southern portion of Grey County.

A New Strategic Plan for Regional Cancer Services in Waterloo Wellington
September 15, 2016The Waterloo Wellington Regional Cancer Program is proud to announce the launch of a new 2016-2019 plan for cancer services. For the first time, an extensive consultative process was undertaken with patients, families, care providers, staff and partners throughout Waterloo Wellington to identify the priorities for cancer care.
Patti Bambury: providing exceptional care to children living with cancer
September 6, 2016Young patients who receive care provided by Patti Bambury can rest assure that they are being cared for by someone with a wealth of compassion and experience. Patti has been a nurse for over 36 years, beginning her career in the United States before returning to Canada. She now works in the Pediatric Oncology Group of Ontario (POGO) clinic at GRH.
Radiation therapy electronics and physics technicians win August GRH team award
August 15, 2016GRH's radiation therapy electronics and physics technicians have won GRH’s team award of excellence for August. This team keeps the hospital’s five radiation treatment machines as well as medical imaging equipment used in care planning in tip-top shape.
GRH's regional cancer centre hosts McMaster medical students for clinical exams
June 15, 2016For the first time in its nine-year history, McMaster University’s Michael G. DeGroote School of Medicine Waterloo Regional Campus carried out the first-year OSCE, or objective structured clinical examination, at Grand River Hospital’s regional cancer centre the evening of Tuesday June 14th.
Kelly Cronin: supporting patients on the path to tobacco-free living
May 30, 2016More than 37,000 people die every year in Canada from tobacco-related illnesses, the equivalent of two planes crashing every week for a year. GRH registered nurse Kelly Cronin is giving patients the support they need to avoid joining that statistic.
