Work on the ION light rail line near GRH's KW Campus is moving up King Street toward Union. Here's the latest work affecting Grand River Hospital.
Please be sure to take some extra time getting to the hospital to allow for construction activity.
King and Pine Street intersection construction (emergency department access)
Crews are now working at the King and Pine intersection, which is the emergency department access to GRH's KW Campus.
The emergency entrance and intersection will be open at all times during construction. Crews plan to work on half of the intersection at a time. This will allow traffic to continue flowing at this key access point to the hospital.
Please be careful around construction crews and follow the directions of flag people.
King and Green intersection re-opened on Thursday morning, June 9th
Work to build track at the King and Green intersection was recently completed. The intersection has re-opened.
KW Campus main entrance re-opened Monday June 13th
The KW Campus main entrance has now re-opened to traffic. This allows left turns into and off the hospital property again. You no longer need to conduct a U-turn by the emergency entrance at Pine Street.
