GRH has several updates on ION light rail construction near the KW Campus.

King street closed between Union and Mount Hope on Saturday, August 6th

Beginning on or about August 6, for approximately one day, the southbound lane on King from Union to Mount Hope will be closed to reinstate a section of curb. Access to the hospital will be maintained using Union to Park streets.

Emergency department access August 8th until the end of the month

We need to rebuild the concrete ramp at King and Pine streets leading to our emergency department entrance. This is part of work related to the widening of King Street for the ION light rail line.

This work will take place from Monday, August 8th until the end of the month. The emergency department access will continue to remain open at all times, but typical traffic patterns will change during the project to accommodate workers and equipment.

Some accessible parking spaces will be closed for three days (beginning August 8th) as part of this work.  More accessible parking can be found in the parking garage.

King and Wellington intersection closed beginning on or about Monday, August 15th

Beginning on or about August 15th for approximately eight weeks, the King and Wellington intersection will be closed for ION light rail work.  Access to the hospital will be maintained using Weber to Union streets.
