Dollars from GRH Volunteer Association make an enormous contribution to patient care
April 28, 2017The Waterloo Regional Health Network Volunteer Association has made another enormous contribution to patient care at WRHN. The association has come through with a $160,000 contribution to upgrade WRHN’s wheelchair fleet.

April 26, 2017“His seemingly unending kindness in his interactions with patients and staff” has helped WRHN psychiatrist Dr. Abraham Popoola win the hospital’s latest award of excellence. Dr. Popoola supports adult mental health patients at WRHN’s KW Campus through inpatient care as well as in day clinics.

Getting new dialysis patients off to the Right Start
March 23, 2017If you were to find out that your kidneys had failed and you needed dialysis treatments to clean your blood, you might feel anxious or overwhelmed about what it will mean for you and your health. Now, WRHN has implemented the “Right Start unit” (RSU) that helps more people who have to unexpectedly start dialysis receive their dialysis care at home rather than coming to the hospital several days a week.
