For the third straight year, Waterloo Regional Health Network has placed in the top ten hospitals in Canada in a comparison of patient survival rates.

Another donation of 50 huggy pillows will go to help WRHN cancer patients feel a little more comfortable as they undergo treatment. The community of Foxboro Green in Baden arranged the drop off at WRHN’s cancer centre. 

At the tender age of four, Evan Conway knows he wants to be a firefighter. Evan has shown the bravery needed for firefighting through a more than two year journey with leukemia. He was happy to celebrate as the Kitchener Fire Department brought a truck to WRHN’s KW Campus to mark his final treatment for the disease.

Every year, patients at WRHN receive more than 575,000 infusions of intravenous medication. The team responsible for maintaining medication safety through infusion pumps has won WRHN’s latest award of excellence for their efforts.
