Our medical imaging department offers a wide range of therapeutic and diagnostic exams to service our outpatients, inpatients, and emergency patients.
We look forward to meeting your needs in an understanding and compassionate way. Please bring family member or friend with you if you would like extra support during your exam.
Our general x-ray rooms are open weekdays from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm and weekends 8:00 am to 4:00 pm for outpatients. We are staffed 24-hours a day to provide service for inpatients and the emergency department as needed.
Our dedicated staff work together to provide a variety of community services. For more information on each service, please click on the links below. Except as noted, all of these services are provided at our KW Campus at 835 King Street West in Kitchener. We are located on the second floor in the D wing (downstairs from the hospital's main revolving door entrance).
- CT scan
- General x-rays
- Interventional radiology, including radiofrequency ablation and trans-arterial chemoembolization
- Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)
- Mammography breast imaging (located at the WRHN Freeport Campus, at 3570 King Street East in Kitchener)
- Nuclear medicine (in partnership with St Mary’s Hospital)
- Ultrasound
